COMPETED IN FITNESS COMPETITIONS AND HAVE PLACED IN MANY SPRINT AND OLYMPIC TRIATHLONS.

After recognizing my form of physical fitness was actually damaging my body and stressing my mind, I tried a yoga class. I was immediately overwhelmed with the energizing effects, detail, and physical, mental, and silent challenges. The next day my body felt in places I had not experienced, a distribution of stretch and strength. Overtime, an exploration began as continuous learning and building the uniqueness of living: the physical workout, the intellectual development, and the spirit.

Yoga is a life changing, continuing event that challenges your strength, flexibility, balance, concentration and most of all... you. Yoga can be transitional, physical, mindful and an inward direction to move the practice from the mat and into your life.

My style provides an understanding to my students and clients that yoga is more than just exercise but developing the power of the whole body – the energy, grace, and calmness of a strong body and strong mind. Continuously expanding my experience, I feel so privileged and inspired to study and teach with the area yoga community. I am so encouraged to share my knowledge, enthusiasm, experience, and leadership adapted to the individual and group, modification to intensity, challenge to calmness, movement to stillness, music to silence.

COLIN RIGGS

Colin is a certified personal trainer from the Stautzenberger Institute. His classes are more on the Athletic training side and he is no fun what so ever as you may be able to tell from his picture.

 

MATT LEONARD

MATT is a mixed martial arts skilled trainer from the STAUTZENBERGER Institute. He has an AFAA certificating for Yoga and can count to 15!! So his skills are HUGE!

Colin mixes MMA and Personal Training into his classes, don't worry he wont arm wrestle you......Unless you ask! His classes on  Thursday and Saturday are fun and Challenging.

 

 

 

RACHEL BIRD Barre & Dance instructor, AFAA Yoga Certified

Rachel has an extensive dance and Ballet training background. She Danced in LA on a scholarship and can be seen in some hip hop music videos!!! She is a bit crazy so she fits in perfectly!!!

I have been an aerobics lover since 5th grade, working out at home with Jane Fonda, Kathy Smith, and Cory Everson, OH! and Buns of Steel!!  Moving to metro Detroit over 10 years ago I started taking Kerry's classes at Bally's (change that to local fitness franchise or WHATEVER you like!) falling in love even more.  One of the fellow instructors there suggested I become certified through the company, as my energy level and volume were that of an instructor!  I willingly jumped at the challenge and have been IN LOVE WITH IT EVER SINCE!!

I feel the very hardest part of your workout is simply getting up, putting your shoes on and getting here, once your here it's all about sweating and smiling.  However if I did my job right the next day you will be cursing my name!  I am so honored to be part of such a wonderful studio here at WOW Fitness, the members and staff are so caring and devoted to fitness.

ALEXA LINDSAY

ZUMBA  INSTRUCTOR , BARRE, CYCLE. SHE HAS A VAST BACKGROUND IN DANCE FROM BALLET TO HIP HOP. VERY FUN!
